Shooting Locations for 2025

Below are the current locations I am familiar with, and details on each one like cost to enter, hiking distance, travel fees, and addresses. If you have additional locations you’d like to discuss with me please don’t hesitate to ask!

Cottonwood Trail

Parking address: Beechwood Drive Parking Area (“Cottonwood Trail” should show up in your GPS)
The parking area is a small gravel area at the head of the trail. You should see a big butterfly sculpture in the trees.

Features: Beautiful woods, tons of greenery, an open area with gorgeous trees spread throughout, a boardwalk area over a marsh, and a river
Hike: easy, sometimes a tad muddy in areas, no more than a mile of slow start and stop walking
Cost to enter: free
Travel fee: none

Croft State Park

Parking address: 450 Croft State Park
Croft is pretty big, so we will have to discuss what area or trail head to meet at beforehand. You’ll come in through the state park entrance, and drive a long road down to an intersection. From there you can go left towards the lake and a handful of trails, or straight onto the gravel road that takes you towards several more trail heads.

Features: trails, river, bridges, a lake with an open field, a very cool and abstract concrete area (my kids call it the pillow rock place lol), and areas with tons of moss and trees
Hike: varies depending on the area we shoot in, but expect a fair amount of walking for this park
Cost to enter: $3/person
Travel fee: none

Milliken Park (frontage road parking)

Parking Address: 680-882 Milliken Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303
This address should take you to the frontage road alongside I-585. It runs parallel to the entire park, so look for my car when trying to park!

Features: lots of trees, ponds, open fields (great for fall time photos if you want lots of fall colors)
Hike: pretty easy, but there are lots of areas to explore here so it depends on where exactly we end up. Anywhere from a 5-15 minute walk.
Cost to enter: free
Travel fee: none
